PERCUSSION
The Pearland Percussion Program is under the direction of Mr. Clay Jasper and comprised of 35-40 students. The Percussion section has consistently won numerous best in class percussion, overall percussion and best drum-line awards during the competitive marching band season.

Percussionists at Pearland High School consistently place in Region and Area bands as well as receiving Superior ratings at UIL Solo and Ensemble competitions.
​
In 2016, the percussion program was the Gold Medalist and State Champion for Texas Colorguard Circuit Championships as well as a consistent WGI finals participant.
​
The percussion program is a competitive and enriching part of the Pride of Pearland Band program that runs year round. All members perform in every aspect of the Pearland Band Program from marching to concert band activities throughout the Fall and Spring.
​
Pearland Percussionists have gone on to march in WGI and DCI programs as well as scholarships to pursue music in college.

FRONT ENSEMBLE
Also known as the pit, the section of the percussion that doesn't march, but stands in front of the band. Marimbas, Vibraphones, Xylophones, Timpani, Bells, Chimes and electronic equipment make up the front ensemble.
CYMBAL LINE
For the first time in several years, a cymbal line has returned to the Pride of Pearland. Made up of almost all double reed performers, this section has meshed into a contributing section that led to the success of an amazing season.
Indoor Percussion
Pearland Indoor Percussion consists of a talented group of front ensemble, drumline and visual ensemble performers.
Indoor percussion is a high intensity athletic and musical performance that tells a story. It is practiced and performed indoors as opposed to on a field. Pearland has competed in the TCGC Circuit and won numerous awards.
