Pearland Band Boosters Music Scholarship 

The Pearland Band Boosters will award Music Scholarships to graduating Pearland High School students who have participated in the Pearland High School Band program, and who intend to continue their music education at the college or university level. Typically, qualified applicants will have demonstrated a degree of accomplishment and will have attained a level where further studies will enhance their music education, with the goal of attaining a degree in a music related field

The scholarships, are for instrumentalists from the Pearland Band Program who will be continuing their musical education in a qualified educational institution with a view to obtaining a degree in a music related subject. Only those candidates attending institutions accredited by one of the accreditation agencies recognized by the US Department of Education are eligible for the scholarships. This list is very comprehensive and includes many institutions in North America and Europe.

It is the goal of the scholarship committee to remain as flexible as possible in interpretation of what defines a music education and in what criteria is used in determining the successful applicant(s).

1.   The application must be received by The Pearland Band Boosters before
the close of business on May 1, 2008.


2.   The scholarship(s) will be awarded at the annual band banquet


3.   Unfortunately, application materials cannot be returned to the applicant.


4.   Where possible, please submit application materials on 8 1/2 by 11 (or A4)
single-sided paper.


5.   Please ensure that all materials are marked with your name and competition
number (note: May 1, 2008 is competition #5).
